Sooke Potholes & River Jordan Lands Bob Wylie It is unconscionable that the BC government continues to permit the subdivision of productive working forest land on Vancouver Island. Western Forest Products should be denied the right to subdivide lands formerly included in Tree Farm Licence agreements. The public interest is not served by the subtraction of working forest lands. Forest-dependent communities are ill-served by the erosion of working forest land. Watershed protection is not facilitated by permitting unrestrained urban sprawl. The carbon footprint is doubly impacted by the creation of urban sprawl over what should be 'forestland reserve.' Please exercise your responsibility in the only way that is socially responsible. Deny subdivision approval! Thank you for doing the right thing.
