The Wednesday, 25 April 2007 meeting of the Executive Directors was convened at the Riverside Inn Restaurant, Lake Cowichan at 9:00 AM with all Directors but Casey, Vermiere, and Weir present. Members E. Boylan, R. Gravelle, and D. Rayner attended.

1. It was moved and seconded to accept the minutes of the 18 April 2007 meeting as circulated.

2. It was moved and seconded to accept the agenda for today’s meeting as circulated.

3. The Treasurer did not report.

4. The Secretary reported email correspondence.
The Secretary reported sending out a news release following the 17 April 2007 Supreme Court date.

5. Discussion about the YTS AGM held in Duncan on Sunday, 22 April 2007. Jack Casey, Ken James, Chris Olson, and Rick Vermiere were elected directors for two-year terms. Director positions and duties will be decided by the Board later. The Secretary will prepare the AGM minutes and the BC Society Act annual filing.

Special thanks are extended to Mrs. Mindy Manhas, Mehinga Jaswal, and Terry Manhas for the delicious cuisine. Special thanks also to MLA Doug Routley for being our honoured guest.

6. Ken, Chris, and Roger reported on attending the latest Ban Log Exports Coalition event in Nanaimo on Monday, 23 April 2007. The parade and rally, hosted by the PPWC, was well attended by protestors, politicians, and media.

7. Ken reported on media coverage about the Panamanian-registered vessel Laser Ace, loading logs out of Cowichan Bay during recent days.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 AM after the Directors agreed to reconvene at the Riverside Inn Restaurant, Lake Cowichan on Wednesday, 02
