The Wednesday, 02 May 2007 meeting of the Executive Directors was convened at the Riverside Inn Restaurant, Lake Cowichan at 9:00 AM with all Directors but Casey, Vermiere, and Weir present. Members K. Dickens and E. Boylan attended.

1. It was moved and seconded to accept the minutes of the 25 April 2007 meeting as circulated.

2. It was moved and seconded to accept the agenda for today’s meeting as circulated.

3. The Treasurer reported current balances. A new cheque system is being introduced by the Credit Union and new style cheques will soon be issued.
Costs to be investigated.

4. The Secretary reported email correspondence.

The Secretary reported an appeal by SOVA to help get petition postcards signed and delivered to Minister Rich Coleman.

The Secretary reported on supportive gestures from the BCFS.

5. Ken reported receiving an invoice and record of funds transferred from lawyer Joseph Arvay.

6. Ken and Roger reported on the latest Ban Log Exports Coalition conference call held on Wednesday, 25 April 2007. Strategies were discussed and the next conference call scheduled for Monday, 07 May.

7. Ken reported on a “heads-up” from a member concerning a Mark Hume article in the Globe and Mail. Inquiries will be pursued.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:30 AM after the Directors agreed to reconvene at the Riverside Inn Restaurant, Lake Cowichan on Wednesday, 09 May 2007 at 9:00 AM.
