The Wednesday, 27 June 2007 meeting of the Executive Directors was convened at the Riverside Inn Restaurant, Lake Cowichan at 9:00 AM with all Directors but Casey and Vermiere present. Member K. Dickens attended.

1. It was moved and seconded to accept the minutes of the 13 June 2007 meeting as circulated.

2. It was moved and seconded to accept the agenda for today’s meeting as circulated.

3. The Treasurer made no report.

4. The Secretary reported email correspondence.
The Secretary reported drafting the most recent AGM minutes.

5. Ken and Chris reported giving out about 1000 live seedlings to the public at the Duncan Mall on Friday, 15 June 2007. Very positive reception.

6. Roger reported that the BC Forests Society will host its AGM in Duncan on Tuesday evening, 10 July 2007. YTS representatives will attend.

7. Ken reported on plans to enter the Duncan Parade on Saturday, 14 July 2007. Volunteers are needed for seedling preparation and distribution. Keith will price T-shirt production to help promote this and other events.

8. Ken reported that the PPWC (Local 8) is planning a ban log export rally in Vancouver on Monday, 16 July 2007.

9. Roger reported meeting with Buddy Bhandar to discuss The Great Lake Walk to be held Saturday, 15 September 2007. Information, photos, and pledge sheets are being prepared.

10. Ken reported on communication with Dr. Scott Prudham at the University of Toronto. Discussion began to explore the potential for community–university alliances.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:30 AM after the Directors agreed to reconvene at the Riverside Hotel Restaurant, Lake Cowichan on Wednesday,
04 July 2007 at 9:00 AM.
