The Thursday, 17 April 2008 meeting of the Executive Directors was convened at the Silverbridge Hotel Restaurant, Duncan at 9:00 AM with all Directors but Casey and Vermiere present. Member K. Dickens attended.

1. It was moved and seconded to accept the minutes of the 09 April 2008 meeting as circulated.

2. It was moved and seconded to accept the agenda for today’s meeting as circulated.

3. The Treasurer did not report.

4. The Secretary reported email correspondence.

5. Ken reported on the latest legal developments. As a result of the recently filed Statement of Claim, the BC Government has submitted a Statement of Defense.

6. Ken reported enthusiasm for the idea of the YTS advancing public outreach and education by sponsoring a series of invited speakers.

7. Ken reported that the PPWC would be sponsoring a special meeting in Nanaimo on Thursday, 24 April 2008 to discuss forest sector issues. The event will feature an Ontario activist. At least one YTS representative will attend.

8. Discussion about final preparations for the YTS AGM to be held on Sunday, 20 April 2008 at the Somenos Hall, 3248 Cowichan Valley Highway, Duncan, BC. Start time 1:00 PM. Chris reported that event insurance was in place. Ken will bring food, drink, and other supplies. Terry Manhas is bringing food. Volunteers are in place to assist the
proceedings.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 AM after the Directors agreed to reconvene at the Silverbridge Hotel Restaurant, Duncan on Wednesday, 30
April 2008 at 9:00 AM.
