The Wednesday 14 May 2008 meeting of the executive directors was convened at the Silver Bridge Hotel Restaurant, Duncan at 9:00 am with all directors except Casey and Vermiere present. Members Keith Dickens and Roger Wiles attended

1. It was moved and seconded to accept the minutes of 30 April 2008 meeting as circulated

2. The agenda for today’s meeting as circulated was moved and accepted

3. There was no treasurer report

4. Ken reported on e-mail correspondence

a. An e-mail from Jean Crowder’s office giving us a “heads-up” about the assistance package to forest workers and the community

b. Further information about a planned tour with Ray Travers of the LOGS site in Shawnigan. YTS members are invited to attend.

c. A public presentation on the Elkington Forest proposal will be held May 22 at the Shawnigan Lake Community Hall

5. Ken reported on legal developments

a. Sept 15, 2008 in Victoria has been set as the date for our next court appearance. R D Wilson will preside

6. It was decided, that at this time, the YTS membership dues will remain the same

The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 after the directors agreed to reconvene at the Silver Bridge Hotel Restaurant in Duncan on Wednesday, 28 May 2008 at 9:00 am
