The Wednesday 28 May 2008 meeting of the executive directors was convened at the Silver Bridge Hotel Restaurant, Duncan at 9:00 am with all directors except Casey and Weir present. Member Lucy Vermiere was present.

1. It was moved and seconded to accept the minutes of 14 May 2008 meeting as circulated.

2. The agenda for today’s meeting was moved and seconded

3. The Treasurer reported on bank balances.

4. Ken reported on e-mail correspondence

a. An invitation to participate in a forum on Forestry Solutions in Port Alberni was extended by the Dogwood Initiative

b. A report on the presentation re Elkinton Forest was circulated

c. A request was sent to Don Maroc to ask if his article “Campbell has to answer for forestry mess” could be added to our YTS website

5. Ken reported on legal developments

a. TFL Forest Ltd. (TimberWest) has filed its Statement of Defence

6. There was discussion about entering the Lake Days Parade again this year and handing out seedlings

a. Ken will try to get seedlings and arrange for a truck and his trailer

b. Work parties will be needed to wrap, label and prepare the trees

The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 am after the directors agreed to reconvene at the Silver Bridge Hotel Restaurant in Duncan on Wednesday, 11 June 2008 at 9:00am
