October 29, 2008 The October 29, 2008 meeting of the executive directors was convened at the Roadhouse Grill, Duncan at 9:00am with all but Wier present. Members R Wiles, K Dickens and L Vermiere were present. 1. It was moved and seconded to accept the minutes of the last meeting. 2. The agenda for today’s meeting was circulated and accepted. 3. The treasurer did not report. 4. Keith reported that a meeting with the British Columbia Forests Society is planned for mid-late November to further discussions about their Centennial Proposal. 5. Roger reminded members of an important Environmental Commission open house. 6. Ken gave a report on the WCWC rally on Log Exports and Old Growth logging. a. It was deemed very successful with aprox. 2700 in attendance. 7. Keith has put the final touches on the upcoming newsletter and plans to have it in the mail by Nov 15. a. Keith will purchase stamps and envelopes for the mail-out. 8. There was lengthy discussion about the Christmas party entertainment. a. Ken to follow up on 9. The latest news from lawyer Joe Arvay was shared. The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 am after directors
agreed to reconvene on Nov 12th at the same location.
