The January 15, 2009 meeting of the executive directors was convened at Smitty’s Restaurant, Duncan with all but Casey, Wier and Vermiere present. Members Dickens and Wiles attended

1. It was moved and seconded to accept the minutes of the last meeting

2. The agenda for today’s meeting was circulated and accepted

3. The treasurer reported that we are still in a good financial position

4. Ken received a letter and gift from member Judith Wiles

· The letter thanked Ken and Joe Arvay for the time and effort spent on the legal action and made some suggestions on possible YTS actions

5. Keith reported on developments for the meeting with the Forests Society

· A meeting has been set for Feb 5 in Victoria

6. Ken reported on the latest correspondence with lawyer Joseph Arvay

· There are still some issues to be dealt with

7. It was suggested that we arrange a meeting with one or more MLA.

· Ken to set up

8. A request for assistance was received from a group creating a website

· Ken to follow up on it’s credentials

The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 am after directors agreed to meet on Jan 28, 2009 at Silver Bridge
