The January 28, 2009 meeting of the executive directors was convened at Silver Bridge Restaurant, Duncan with all but Casey, Weir and Vermiere present. Member K Dickens attended

1. It was moved and seconded to accept the minutes of the last meeting

2. The agenda for today’s meeting was circulated and accepted

3. The treasurer reported current balances

4. Keith reported on the on-going correspondence with the B C Forests Society

· A meeting is set for Feb 5 in Victoria· Keith, Chris and Ken plan on attending

5. Ken reported on correspondence with Lawyer Joe Arvay

· A draft letter has been sent requesting a CDO

· Some letters to members of the ongoing class (non-union) have been returned undelivered

6. Further discussion was held about meeting with one or more MLA · Ken to follow up

7. A planned rally in Nanaimo on Feb 28th hosted by PPWC was discussed.

8. Ken confirmed that Professor Scott Prudham would be here to conduct more interviews.

· Feb 21st is the date of the interviews

· They will be held at the Community Centre in Duncan in the Somenos room

· They will start at 10am and continue until 3pm with an hour long lunch break

· If any one is interested that has not already been contacted by Ken, please contact him

The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 am after directors agreed to meet again at a time and place to be arranged.
