The April 8, 2009 meeting of the executive directors was convened at Paul and Tina’s Restauraunt, Duncan with all but Casey, and Vermiere present. Member M Dickens attended

1. It was moved and seconded to accept the minutes of the last meeting

2. The agenda for today’s meeting was circulated and accepted

3. There was no Treasurers’ report

4. There was much discussion regarding the Paper on “Trust Forest” ideas

a. A 2 page report and a full report will be put on the savebcjobs.com website

b. We will get copies of the 2 pager for distribution

c. We will need to be able to respond to comments in a timely manner

d. We do NOT want this to interfere in any way with the work being done by the BC Forest Society

5. There was discussion about an entry into the Duncan Days Parade

a. It was decided that if we could get seedlings again we would enter the parade

b. It was decided to only do one parade and not both Lake Cowichan and Duncan in the same year

c. Ken will contact a possible supplier of seedlings

d. It was suggested to include the BCFS in the parade

6. Chris reported the financial information is ready for audit

a. Wier and Gravelle have once again offered to do the audit

7. Membership Secretary J swan has agreed to take over the Medical from Lynne Barge
a. A BIG thank you to both for their support

The meeting was adjourned at 11:00 am after directors agreed to meet in 2 weeks
