The September 3, 2009 meeting of the YTS executive was held at the Silver Bridge Restaurant at 9am. In attendance was K Dickens, C Olsen and K James

1. The agenda for today’s meeting was circulated and passed

2. The Treasurer reported

3. Ken reported that Christopher Lyon, MSc student, Environmental Sociology Department of Rural Economy, University of Alberta, has made contact once again and is still planning on making the trip here to interview some of our members. (Postponed previously due to illness)

4. Discussion was held around the draft of our mission statement regarding our Trust Forest initiative.

a. After input from all it was decided that Keith would compose the statement, including the suggestions made

5. The upcoming News Letter was discussed some.

a. Ken will ask member who attend his weekly meetings for input
b. Lucy will post a notice on the website with requests for submissions

6. The Christmas Party Pot-Luck date is Dec 5, 2009

The meeting was adjourned at 11 am after the directors agreed to meet again in 2 weeks.
