The Thursday 21 January 2010 meeting of the executive directors was convened at the Silver Bridge restaurant, Duncan at 9:00 am with C Olsen, K Dickens, R Wiles and K James in attendance

1. It was moved and seconded to accept the minutes of the last meeting

2. The agenda for today’s meeting was circulated and accepted

3. The treasurer reported

4. There was discussion about researching a new service provider

a. Keith will look into a “local” provider from Mill Bay

5. There was discussion about the newly formed Ancient Forest Alliance

a. Ken Wu is heading the organization after leaving WCWC
b. Ken W has contacted the YTS to ask if we would sit on the advisory board for the new society
c. Ken J and Roger will try to meet with Ken W when we are in Victoria on Tuesday January 26

6. Roger reported on his meeting with Michael M’Gonigle of UVIC Law

a. It was a good informative meeting
b. Ken and Roger will do a follow-up meeting with Michael and others on Jan 26 at UVIC
c. Ken to bring extra copies of Executive summary of Andrew’s last draft

The meeting was adjourned at 11:00am after directors agreed to meet agin in 2 weeks
