YTS Christmas Party

The annual Youbou TimberLess Society 2003 Christmas party held on Saturday, 13 December, at Youbou Community Hall was once again a huge success.

Even though we were unable to use the bowling alley this year due to restrictions imposed by the new liquor license, attendance improved over last year. It is safe to say, “There was barely an empty chair in the place”.  The nimble fingers of Daryl Allsbrook and our own Lucy Vermiere once again provided excellent live entertainment. Their classical guitar renditions of popular Christmas favorites were well received by all.

Everyone again welcomed Santa Claus 7 and we all thank him for taking time out of his immensely busy schedule to distribute gifts for the children. Our sincere thanks Santa.

As always the membership of our society displayed tremendous generosity with donations of non-perishable food items for the Lake Cowichan food bank, gifts for door prizes and financial support to the YTS.

The YTS Senior Executive would like to thank everyone who helped make this very popular event the success it is. The families who provided the staggering amounts of food for this potluck event, the members who donated gifts financial and otherwise and the unwavering support of you all will in the end guarantee us success in everything we strive to achieve.

Your executive, Roger, Ken, Jack, Mike and Keith once again thank you all and wish you and yours a wonderful Christmas Season with good health and success in 2004
