Cowichan Valley
Regional Parks and Trails Strategy
Come Have Your Say!
The Cowichan Valley Regional District and the Regional Parks Advisory
Group needs your input and ideas in developing a Regional Parks
and Trails Strategy for the entire Cowichan Region (encompassing
the nine electoral areas and municipalities of Duncan, Ladysmith,
North Cowichan and Town of Lake Cowichan). What is your vision for
a region-wide network of regional parks and regional trails, including
the 140 km Cowichan Valley Trail initiative? Does your vision embody
opportunities for active outdoor recreation activities, passive
recreation, preservation of natural areas or access to open space?
Open House sessions are being held across the region at the following
locations:
· March 29, 2006 at the Lake Cowichan Curling Lounge, 7-9
pm
· March 30, 2006 at the Cowichan Centre Social Lounge, 7-9
pm
· April 4, 2006 at the Kerry Park Recreation Centre Social
Lounge, 7-9 pm
· April 5, 2006 at the Ladysmith Secondary School Multi-Purpose
Room, 7-9 pm
Come on out to the venue most convenient to you! Additional information
may be obtained by calling Debbie James, Parks Planning Technician
